You’re given an assortment of dialogue options that change the story’s narrative to branch out and affect your relations with other characters. While dialogue options and walking can get tedious, you might be introduced to a series of supernatural events that add depth to the gameplay. You get to explore alternate realities and solve puzzles while conversing with side characters. The storytelling is impeccable, Riley is a great protagonist, and the music, ambiance, and sound effects make the spookier moments a lot more engaging. The best part is full controller support for the iPhone. The game features the 1980s version of the turtles, with their happy and charming character designs. A side-scrolling beat-em-up by nature, the game introduces an arsenal of combos and flurries to behold. And things get sweeter since the game runs at a fluid 60 FPS. You can swap between characters, April O’Neil, Master Splinter, and later Casey Jones. You have to upgrade your characters individually, and each character has their unique special attacks. The pixel art style is bright, and gorgeous and gives you a trip down a retro-memory lane. The story and pacing are a tad bit goofy for the most part. Co-op with friends makes replayability all the more fun. TMNT is only available to Netflix Subscribers on the Mac App Store, though.
