A Sound Addition Lots of inputs and a robust audio mixer can mean more audio sources. To take care of that, Blackmagic also announced the new ATEM Microphone Converter ($395, available before summer). It is based on Multiple Audio Device Interface (MADI) technology that can support up to 64 channels of audio over a BNC cable. On the other end, it has four XLR mic/line inputs for analog sources. There’s an HDMI connection to attach a monitor to show you what the converter is doing and it be connected to your ATEM’s control network via Ethernet.
