You’ll Need to Install the iOS 18 Public Beta As with other major watchOS updates, you’ll need the corresponding iOS version installed on your iPhone. That means you can’t install the watchOS 11 public beta unless you’ve also installed the iOS 18 public beta on your iPhone. Make sure to install it before trying to download watchOS 11. To check for the iOS 18 public beta, go to Settings General Software Update Beta Updates, select iOS 18 Public Beta, and then tap on Install. If the “Beta Updates” section doesn’t appear here, go back to the previous section and ensure you’ve registered the Apple ID that you’re using on your iPhone for Apple’s Beta Software Program. How to Install watchOS 11 Public Beta Apple has made it incredibly easy to install betas nowadays. All you need to do is grab your Apple Watch, its charging dock, and your iPhone, and then follow these steps: 1. On your iPhone, open the Watch app. 2. Tap on General. 3. Go to Software Update. 4. Tap on Beta Updates. 5. Make sure to select watchOS 11 Public Beta. 6. Tap the Back button in the top left corner of your screen. 7. Your iPhone will start looking for the latest watchOS 11 public beta available. Once it finds it, tap on Download and Install. Now is the time when you’ll need your Apple Watch and the charging dock. Your Apple Watch needs to be connected to its charger and have at least 50% battery life before it starts installing the update. So start charging your Apple Watch. Once it reaches 50%, it will start downloading and installing watchOS 11 public beta.
