Magic Keyboard for iPad and Apple Pencil Pro Snap one of Apple’s second-generation Magic Keyboards onto that iPad Air (or Pro) and you have a device that coming dangerously close to a MacBook. In fact, the enlarged trackpad and row of function keys are almost exactly what you’ll find on an apple laptop. The trackpad offers haptic feedback, and the floating cantilever hinge system allows for a wider range of screen viewing angles. A USB-C port offers pass-through charging. The iPad’s Magic Keyboard also serves as a magnetically attached case with front and rear protection. With the 11” version priced at $299, the total is about $50 less than a MacBook Air, but a touch interface tablet offers some benefits that a MacBook just can’t provide.
