ZUGU iPad Cases Considering that your new iPad may wind up bouncing around in a backpack full of weighty books, some decent protection is in order. The absolute best iPad cases out there come from ZUGU. First off, the case offers outstanding protection, and not only for the screen and rear surfaces. The edges on the ZUGUs, where a dropped iPad will usually land, are guarded by rubber, which also does a great job of holding the iPad in the case. The front cover has a set of grooves so the fold-out flap on the back can act as a horizontal stand. As a nice touch, magnets gently hold the flap in the selected groove. On the edge above the iPad’s magnetic connector is a slot that securely holds an Apple Pencil to the charger. If you have an older, USB Pencil, don’t worry. There’s an elastic pouch on the back for that. ZUGU cases for the iPad Air start at $59.99 for the 11” model, making them a great value as well.
