Once I'm content with the model assets, I begin texturing them, primarily using trim sheets from an atlas I've compiled with photo images based on the culture I'm depicting. I save finer details for Photoshop. Throughout each step, I create renders to review and identify areas for improvement or simplification. Finally, when I'm happy with the results, I produce multiple render passes and composite the images in Photoshop, where I also paint additional details on top.
