Collaboration has been an ongoing theme at Adobe, even before the challenges of working from home were thrust upon us. That was evident in the new Share for Commenting capabilities built into Photoshop, both desktop and mobile versions. Documents, shared via the web to select individuals will accept annotations, which can be pinned to a specific place, and will appear when the document’s owner opens it on their platform. There’s no need to leave the application for either sharing or reviewing comments. Collaboration, in a sense, has even improved within the suite itself. A long-desired feature, Photoshop can now import selections from Adobe Illustrator documents with all their vector attributes intact including, whenever possible, layer structures. One ongoing theme that Adobe keeps coming back to when it speaks to its international user community is how creatives can use their skills (and Adobe’s tools) to make the world a more just and equitable place. Perhaps the most significant step Adobe itself has ever taken in that direction was revealed this year not in a new product, but a new platform for two of its oldest. Photoshop on the iPad: Care to comment?
