The Final Cut Pro Global Summit - Celebrating the Latest Updates in the Apple Ecosystem with the Summit Community For its 7th edition, Final Cut Pro experts from around the world gathered virtually at the FCP Global Summit. This year, attendees were able to participate in a variety of training sessions for Final Cut Pro, attend case studies, and panel discussions. Let’s take a look at what we learned at the largest Final Cut Pro training event of the year! This year focused on select topics throughout the week, ranging from beginner content to advanced technical training to social media techniques and mobile filmmaking. Summit goers had a multitude of content to choose from. Whether you were a beginner just getting started in creating content with Final Cut Pro or a seasoned professional looking to advance their skills, there was a session suited to address their needs. “There isn't a presenter so far who has been less than phenomenal,” said Adam, a 2021 FCP Summit attendee and returning Summit alum. While the Summit provided a variety of technical training covering hot topics such as editing HDR video, filming videos on the iPhone 13, the latest color correction techniques, and best practices for video production— the Final Cut Pro Summit also hosted a number of panel discussions. These discussions served to provide attendees an opportunity to learn from working professionals and celebrities. They were able to listen to real-world stories and learn first hand the challenges and successes the Summit speakers experienced throughout their careers. Vince Vaughn participated in the Summit as a panel speaker with Apple Distinguished Educator, Steve Douglass and FCP Summit program manager, Jeff Greenberg. Their panel discussion: “How To Give Great Feedback: Working Well in Creative Collaborations'' served as a space to give attendees best practices for providing constructive feedback that nurtures creative work. Vaughn shared his experiences in providing feedback while working in high-scale video productions while Steve Douglass shared his experiences as an educator in a classroom setting. With all the recent updates and news from Apple, another popular panel discussion focused on what the future had in store for creatives. Photographer and podcaster, Frederick Van Johnson hosted the “Future Focused” panel which featured the following guests: Alex Lindsay, Dado Valentic, iJustine, Colleen Pendergast, and Larry O'Connor. With all the latest advancements in technology and gear, panelists were excited to discuss topics such as increasing accessibility for video content creation, advancement in AI technology, and of course their favorite tech.
