that Apple's working on two different projects related to virtual and augmented reality. And one of these projects is the so-called Apple Glass—the company's first-ever smart glasses. According to the rumors, the Apple glasses will let you see real-time notifications right near your eyes. You'd be able to see all of your texts, emails, and maps right in the glass without ever taking your iPhone out. There are also rumors that the glasses will have games in which you'll use your field of vision to control. The glasses would also have their own App Store for you to download both Apple apps and third-party apps like you do on your Apple Watch. Another even crazier rumor based on an Apple patent says that these glasses won't need any prescriptions because they'll be able to adjust to your eyesight, albeit we're still not sure if that's actually going to make its way to the glasses. 6. Apple Mixed Reality Headset Apple's working heavily on virtual and augmented reality, according to the leaks and rumors. In addition to a new pair of smart glasses, the company is also said to be working on a mixed-reality headset. What's mixed-reality, I hear you ask? Well, it's a headset that's going to feature both AR and VR. Rumor has it this headset will feature two high-resolution 8K displays, eye-tracking cameras and would feature a chip that's even more powerful than the M1 processor found in 2020 Macs. This headset is said to be able to detect other people standing behind and in front of virtual objects and map the surfaces and dimensions of any room more accurately than the current devices we have right now. The good news is that this headset seems to be coming sooner than the Apple Glass. According to rumors, this device could be coming by the end of 2022. The bad news is that it may be more expensive than you think. Some reports say the headset could cost anywhere between $1,000 and $3,000. 5. Apple Car The Apple Car rumors have been going around for over five years now, but it seems like Apple's first-ever smart car is beginning to take form, albeit it's still a long way to go before we see it. There have been many rumors regarding the Apple car. As you can expect, it's said that the Apple car will be a completely electronic vehicle, but it's also rumored that it'll be completely autonomous. Currently, the self-driving program that would control is being tested. And of course, this car is said to have deep integration with iOS devices. So when is this car coming? It's hard to say, but one thing's for sure: It's not coming anytime soon. Some rumors say it might come as soon as 2023, but it's more likely that Apple will release the Apple car around 2025, at the earliest. 4. Foldable iPhone Foldable phones have become more popular over the last couple of years, which leaves a lot of people wondering if Apple's ever going to take the leap to this new foldable technology. It seems like Apple's already working on a foldable iPhone. Even though we don't know if it's going to fold horizontally or vertically, similar to the Samsung Galaxy Fold or the Galaxy Z Flip, respectively, some crazier rumors say Apple's actually working on two different foldable devices. But don't hold your breath if you want to buy the new foldable iPhone. According to rumors, Apple won't release this iPhone at least until 2023. 3. New HomePod (with a Screen) Apple's decision to ditch the big HomePod and only keep the HomePod mini was the right one. More and more people are choosing the HomePod mini as their smart speaker of choice. But it seems that Apple won't stop there. New rumors have surged that Apple's already working on a new HomePod, and this time it'll come with a built-in display. It's still too early to know more about this new speaker, but it's expected to be a high-end product that will compete with the Google Nest Hub and the Amazon Echo Show. 2. A More Affordable Apple Display You've probably already heard of the Pro Display XDR, that $5,000-dollar screen that doesn't come with a stand? Well, Apple seems to be working on a more affordable display for your Mac. This monitor was said to be in early development at the beginning of the year, so don't expect it to come anytime soon. What's good is that rumors say this monitor is meant for regular consumers. With that said, don't expect a price lower than $1,000 when it comes out. Hopefully, though, this model will come with its own stand. 1. New Smart Home Devices Apple seems to also be working on more devices to help make your home smarter. New rumors say a new Apple doorbell could be on the way. It's possible that you'll be able to pair it with one of Apple's upcoming AR or VR devices to bring more capabilities and security features. There are also rumors of an Apple security camera. This device would feature facial recognition technologies and would be smart enough to notify you if it sees a stranger around your house. Last but not least, there have been rumors of a new speaker with built-in Apple TV. It's still too early to know what it would look like, but it's said to compete with Roku's soundbar.
