What do you like most about CorelDRAW Graphics Suite? CorelDRAW is very easy to use, and I like working with the Artistic Media and Bezier tools the most. While I use other design programs for other tasks, I always choose CorelDRAW for vector illustration. After all, I’m 20-years engrained into an efficient CorelDRAW workflow, and I know the software like the back of my hand. How has COVID impacted you as an artist? How has it impacted your clients? The pandemic was a complete shock and very stressful for me as I worried about the future of my business. In the first few months, many clients postponed or cancelled their projects, however it didn’t take long before business picked back up. While I'm not as busy as I was pre-pandemic, I would say business is nearly back to normal. What’s interesting is many new requests were directly influenced by the pandemic, like creating artwork for face masks. As a gesture of goodwill in a challenging time, I produced 1,000 masks to distribute for free in collaboration with a partner. I’ve also worked on posters for social distancing campaigns. I’m thankful that I didn’t have to transition to a new remote way of working like so many other businesses and individuals, as I already worked from home, so that part was easy. Here's hoping COVID is a thing of the past sooner rather than later! What advice do you have for up-and-coming artists? Stay productive when you’re in front of your computer! For artists, time is money and productivity is essential for success in this field. When you’re not feeling particularly motivated, take a break to get some exercise and reset, so that when you’re ready to sit back down, you’re feeling refreshed and able to focus on creating your best work with greater efficiency.
