In the Can Finally, the URSA Mini Pro has a variety of ways for you to record and store those amazing images. For both speed and safety, you can record to two, CFast cards at up to 900MB/s (500MB/s using UHS-II SD) or single USB-C flash storage at the same speed. The 12K also has a USB-C 3.1 Gen 2 expansion slot for 10 Gb/s output to SSDs or external recorders for longer recording times. The camera itself has 12G SDI outputs. Though you can attach a CCU and mount Blackmagic’s studio viewfinder, putting this URSA Mini on studio duty would be a bit like using a thoroughbred to pull a plow. While a lot of camera manufacturers are still thinking in terms of menus, Blackmagic long ago moved on to an OS paradigm with a graphic interface that lets you get to the settings you need quickly and in a quite logical manner. On the 12K, this is especially helpful because its Generation 5 Color system provides so many processing options within the camera itself, rather than in post.
