Adobe MAX The Creativity Conference Story and Photos by Ric Getter Conferences, particularly those in tech-related fields, can be grueling tests of endurance and patience, from crowded session rooms to relentless mayhem on the exhibit floor. Adobe MAX is, in our opinion, quite different. The most obvious thing is that attending doesn't feel like a hardship to be endured. There are places to sit: high chairs around bistro tables, lines of bean bags in quiet crannies, even a section of the show floor covered in deeply padded, almost comically hairy, shag carpet. There is room for people to talk, think, and create. The distance between the two, multilevel wings of the Los Angeles Convention Center offers plenty of exercise, as well. Adobe makes sure its MAX attendees are well cared- for in other ways. Registration includes tasty and rapidly-dispensed breakfasts and lunches, as well as wonderful buffets at evening Welcome Reception and extravagant MAX Bash on Tuesday night. Coffee, fruit and snacks are spread through the convention center for a midafternoon pick-me-up. And, as we alluded to earlier, there's actually space to sit down and eat.
