The problem is that all of this process of note taking is captured with the classic pen and paper, and meeting note taking is far from being optimized. While professionals spend almost 20% of their time in meetings with 60 meetings per month in average, the cost of useless and inefficient meetings is estimated at 37 billion dollars per year in the US. As a matter of fact, most of meeting notes are handwritten, which leads to several issues: • Double entry of information • Long meeting equals a lot writing • Difficulties to follow-up on tasks • Difficulties with the delegation of work The consequences for management and more precisely project management can be huge, up to failure in many cases; but above all, these issues cost a lot to companies. Something had to be done and therefore BeesApps created Beesy. The Beesy Solution BeesApps is a French Startup created by three experienced professionals: David Chevenement, Christopher Mesquita and Jean-Charles Ragons. Facing themselves the issues mentioned above and urging to create a business on their own, they ended up creating an iPad application for Professional Note-Taking, Task Management, Collaboration and Project Management called Beesy. The idea behind Beesy is to replace the traditional notebook digitizing all the professional workflow. They started two years ago with the iPad app for meeting note taking. From the Dashboard you can then access to different tabs: • Notes • Actions • People • Settings The Notes Tab The Notes tab is the core of the Beesy Solution. Actually, Beesy is a smart Note-Taking application with associated features for productivity (To-do lists, calendar, address book, etc.) and project management. The concept of Beesy is that Notes are taken with Actions that are structured per type within different topics. Each action (Tasks, Deadlines, Meetings, Ideas, Comments, Attachments, Records) can be assigned to someone, a project, a priority and a deadline.
