MacDirectory 17 DEPARTMENT APPLE BITES NEWS WALL STREET ANALYSTS SAY APPLE COULD HIT 1 TRILLION MARKET CAP Apple will soon be valued at $1.05 tn, predict the financial analysts at Cantor Fitzgerald. The iPhone-maker will be worth three times more than Google which is America's second- most valuable company. Analysts at Cantor Fitzgerald stated that they thought Apple's shares – which are currently trading at about $127, valuing the company at $733bn – could soon be worth $180 each, which would value the Cupertino-based company at $1.05tn. If this happens, then Apple will be the first ever company to be valued at more than $1tn. In simple terms, it would make the tech giant more valuable than the gross domestic product (GDP) of Indonesia, the Netherlands or Saudi Arabia, according to World Bank statistics. Brian White, a Cantor Fitzgerald analyst explained that he firmly thought Apple was worth that much because of its continued strong performance in China, where sales a rapidly on rise by 70 percent year-on-year, and the debut of the Apple Watch, its first new kind of product in five years. "Next month, Apple will enter its first new product category in five years, while media reports over the past several weeks have highlighted potential new areas of future innovation," White said, reports The Guardian. "Also, we believe Apple's iPhone portfolio and position in China have never been stronger. Finally, Apple has shown its commitment to returning cash to shareholders, and we expect more in April. We believe the combination of these forces will drive the market to reward Apple's stock." NO MIX AND MATCH FOR CUSTOMERS AT APPLE WATCH TRY-ON TABLES As the launch of the highly anticipated watch is nearing, Apple announced that it would not allow customers to try random mix and match option during their Apple Watch Try-On appointments. The Try-On appointments will kick start on April 10th and will be available for in store previews. However, keeping the time and simplicity in mind, the company decided that it "will not size links or swap bands" at the Try-on table or Try-on cases to the consumers. Furthermore, the Try-On sessions will last only about 5-15 minutes. Apple Watch will be available in 18 specific combinations on display at their Try-On tables, and 10 specific combinations at their Try-On cases. The Apple Watch comes in a variety of sizes, colors, and band-types which can make the decision of how to pick a band and Apple Watch combination difficult. Reports suggest that the stainless steel Apple Watch is the most cosmetically adaptable but carries a $200 premium over the aluminum Apple Watch Sport. People can grab their Apple Watch during its official launch on April 24th. 4 3
