CLOSER LOOK VNV PRODUCTIONS >BRINGING ANOTHER SEASON OF "EL SABOR TIPICO" TO TV WORDS BY CLAUDIA PAREDES aired on Sept. 1, 2010 on PBS in Florida and Puerto Rico. The first ten episodes were a huge success. Not only was the show exploring the rich cultures in Central and South America, among other places, but the host was also very appealing, enthusiastic and energetic. Virgilio Vara, brought something new to the table. He travelled and explored from the corners of the lands of the Incas, in Peru to the beautiful jungles of Costa Rica, and delivered what the public had been waiting for. Virgilio Vara is not new to the television industry. His father had his own radio show in the 1960s, and in 1997 Vara resurrected his show to the world via television. This was only the first step in the entertainment industry. Virgilio Vara always had a passion for television, and when this show was reintroduced everything began to fall into place, and even created his own production company, VNV Productions and Entertainment. is Vara's most recent television production, and once again it is showing great promise. This is his second creation and it is bringing the viewers a bit of taste and culture from around the globe, as he intends to feature cuisines from around the world. This show allows viewers to get a close look into the local specialties that each culture has to offer. Vara has brought, laughter, knowledge and culture into many homes, and will sure keep it up this coming season. "The best part of doing my own show is the ability to travel all over the world learning new customs, tasting the cuisine that have been past down from generation to generation. And being able to share my experiences with his viewers," said Vara, the host and producer. Last season, viewers saw Vara in Lima, Peru; Oaxaca and Puebla, Mexico; Puerto Rico; Costa Rica; and Rio de Janeiro, as well as in Miami and Key West. He went to the Peruvian Andes, and has eaten the most exotic dishes around the world. His show takes viewers on a journey, an adventure and all from the comfort of their homes. Discover culture and local traditions together with Vara, and learn what makes each place unique to visit. Currently, can be watched in the United States and Puerto Rico on the Infinito Network, which is the Spanish arm of TNT Network. The first two episodes will be featuring the delicious flavors from Buenos Aires-Argentina and the amazing various dishes from the Spanish cuisine.
