Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Set in 9th Century Baghdad, you play as Basim, a “frenemy” from AC Valhalla. Mirage serves as Basim’s personal story, giving us a supposedly better understanding of his character. While the story is nothing to write home about, the gameplay is highly refreshing. With no xp and character leveling, stealth is once again the gold standard in Mirage. One wrong move and the simplest of enemies can decapitate you. With eagle scouting and conveniently placed environmental objects, Mirage marks the return to Assassin’s Creed fundamentals. Why is Assassin’s Creed Mirage such a big deal for macOS? Assassin’s Creed is a critically acclaimed series, arguably the main franchise responsible for Ubisoft’s success. To have Mirage, the latest release from Ubisoft, be native on an iPhone 15, is an event worth remembering. It shows that Apple is getting serious about joining the gaming market, especially when AC Mirage was used to showcase the new gaming capabilities of the iPhone 15. Hopefully, this trend will continue into the future, so Mac gamers like us can have easy access to the latest releases like the rest of the gaming community.
