Stray is Coming to macOS! Stray won the Best Independent Game and Best Debut Indie Game awards in 2022 and now it is coming to Apple users along with other big names like Death Stranding. Announced at WWDC23, Stray will be coming over to the Mac platform later in 2023. Here’s everything we know about the release so far. Stray Mac Release Date and Price The release of Stray is scheduled for 2023 but the exact date is still unknown. The store the game will launch on is also unknown. Keep in mind that it can release on either Steam or Mac App Store. As for the price, Stray’s price on Steam for Windows is currently $29.99 and you can expect it to be the same when it releases for macOS. Stray Mac System Requirements? There are no specific system requirements either. All we know is that you will need a device powered by an Apple silicon. That is either M1 or M2 chips that are powered with the latest graphical API – Metal 3. BlueTwelveStudio at WWDC23 There were no official announcements or posts by BlueTwelveStudio, the developers of Stray, regarding the game’s arrival on macOS. However, the team traveled to the WWDC23 and met up with people like Hideo Kojima who announced the arrival of Death Stranding. More importantly, the game was quickly shown on stage at WWDC 23 as one of the many upcoming macOS games. BlueTwelveStudio reportedly will be taking advantage of new Metal technology including Metal FX upscaling.
