It quickly lets you know where there are differences, and allows you to synch them. Inevitably, there are problems even today in naming files across platforms. One thing I like about Beyond Compare is that it is simple enough to use without a manual. Yet, it has many advanced features for those who need them and are willing to learn about them. The other thing I like is that it is always right. There are few certainties in life today. I've been able to trust this program to do its job well for over 20 years. It has never let me down.
