Know These 6 Things BEFORE Buying the New iPhone SE (’22) By Sergio Velasquez Apple started out with a bang during its Peek Performance keynote when it revealed the long-awaited third-generation iPhone SE. Even though it doesn't look new on the outside, the inside of the new iPhone SE is filled with novel features that iPhone SE fans will love, especially if you aren't the type of person who likes to upgrade iPhones all that often. Still, with all the advanced things the iPhone SE brings, not everything's as good as we might hope. Keep reading to find out everything you need to know about the iPhone SE 3 before you buy it. 6. Same Design (But More Durable) The first thing you'll notice about the new iPhone SE is that it looks like the old iPhone SE. Unfortunately, Apple decided to stick with the exact same iPhone 8 body for the 2022 model. So on the outside, you won't see or feel anything different from the 2020 iPhone SE. The only minor change is the colors it comes in. Now the iPhone SE comes in Midnight, Starlight, and Product Red, which are pretty much black, white, and red, but the colors appear to be slightly different this time around. But that won't be enough if you're hoping to feel like you have a brand new iPhone. One big change you won't notice, but it's pretty big, is that Apple decided to add its Ceramic Shield coating to the back and the front of the iPhone. Or at least, we can only guess it's Ceramic Shield. Apple called it the "toughest glass on any smartphone." Still, this means that the new iPhone SE is more durable than previous models, and it'll likely be able to resist a few falls without cracking. Plus, if you love Touch ID, you won't be disappointed this year either. One good thing about the old iPhone 8 is that it still has a big Home button with Touch ID at the bottom of your screen. Of course, that means the screen won't be as big as many of us would like, but it's pretty much a compromise we have to deal with. 5. Fastest Chip in a Smartphone The biggest change on the iPhone SE is on the inside. Apple decided to improve the specs on the iPhone SE and give it the much more powerful A15 Bionic chip, which is the same one the iPhone 13 lineup sports! And even though Apple doesn't talk about RAM it uses on any iPhone; the new iPhone SE comes with 4GB of RAM instead of 3GB like the older model. This combination makes the smallest iPhone one of the most powerful on the market at pretty much any price range. Meaning you'll be able to play demanding games or keep a lot of apps open, and the iPhone SE won't even break a sweat in the performance
