Bolt-ing Out If you’re plans have you heading to the airport or back to campus, something a little larger may be in order. The Bolt Backpack has been waiting for that opportunity. It’s one of the largest and most feature-packed bags WaterField has produced. There’s a large, exterior pocket with magnetic closures for fast access and a slyly hidden zipper pocket just above that’s easy to get to and secure. For business, it will let you go from airport, to meeting, to hotel, with no one but you knowing that your jogging shoes or comfy slippers are in there with your laptop and meeting notes. Air travelers will love the fact that the padded laptop and tablet pockets are accessible through a zipper opening at the top, allowing you to quickly pull them out for inspection. A wide and well-padded leather handle makes those quick lifts a lot easier, as do the padded, anatomically aware shoulder straps. Like the Mezzo, the back pad does double-duty as an attach-point for your carry-on. And for students, it will carry a whole lot of books and last you through grad school (and likely well into your chosen career). The Bolt comes in black ballistic nylon or waxed canvas with matching leather accents. (Bolt Backpack, $329)
