Tag! WaterField’s It! Apple’s long-rumored AirTag arrived just in time for most of us to be unable to go far enough away from home to lose anything. They also proved to be surprisingly inexpensive. Then again, the case you needed to attach them to anything made up for that. WaterField Designs saw an opportunity and they jumped on it. As with many of their products these days, they brought in a few thousand collaborators to help with the design, their customer community. The result was two products that will surely cut deeply into Apple’s AirTag case sales. The AirTag Leather Keychain comes in four colors (red, blue, back, grizzly leather or chocolate), keeping the tag hidden, but with perforations for the alarm. On one end is the black metal keyring. On the other is a grommet with your choice of a black aluminum carabiner or steel cable key loop. A black metal knob keeps the AirTag securely in place. (AirTag Leather Keychain, $25) Shortly before we were all locked down, WaterField debuted its luxurious line of luggage tags. Shortly after, Apple introduced the AirTag. A match made in heaven was waiting in the wings. The AirTag Luggage Tag serves the dual purpose of holding your luggage ID and discreetly stowing an AirTag. In fact, if it wasn’t for the ten small AirTag “breathing holes” on the back, you’d never know that the very attractive tag contained some very useful electronics. The tag is available in the same five colors as the keychain. It uses the same steel cable available with the keychain to securely attach to your bag. And for an additional $19 you can get a matching leather luggage handle cover, a great way to visually personalize your bag to spot it easily on a carousel. (AirTag Leather Luggage Tag, $49)
