Token of Affection Adobe XD is getting smarter, too. The most notable addition content-aware layout that makes it much easier to keep a certain look the same, maintaining alignment and spacing for as things are being rearranged. Design Tokens are intended to make life easier for both designers and developers, simplifying collaboration and communication. Tokens are names that can be given to key visual design elements that can translate directly into the application code. Another new feature in XD makes it easier to create scrollable groups without duplicating a lot of artboards to simulate the effect. As a medium for the masses, augmented reality (AR) is still pretty much waiting in the wings, but that fact isn't slowing down Adobe's efforts to provide designers with cut ting edge tools to make the most of this very promising field. Aero, Adobe's AR authoring environment added spatial audio effects to its toolbox. You can now bring in sound clips, effects and other short- form audio, triggered by objects in the AR experience. A new 3D Gizmo makes it easier to both control and receive feedback from 3D objects in a scene. With its AR tools, as with many of its other products, Adobe takes a great deal of pride in what it has done to democratize access for creatives, as well as supporting collaboration and learning communities. Whether its Fresco allowing artists who have specialized in one media easily try their hand at another, an aspiring designer watching an industry pro do their work on Adobe Live, or using Sensei AI and machine learning to help a creative move more quickly to their final vision for a project, Adobe has been doing all it can to level the creative playing field making both its tools and what they produce more accessible for more people. They may not be directly changing the world with their efforts, but it is quite possible that someone using their tools will.
