Founded in 1997 in Clearwater, Fla., LC
Technology has software as its primary
product line. PC-based PHOTORECOVERY,
FILERECOVERY for Windows, and
FILERECOVERY Professional are uniquely
qualified products that recover data and
files in the event of data loss or hard
drive failure.
The Forensic Utility Suite is the first-of-
its-kind allowing forensic and computer
crime professionals to effectively recover
data on all Microsoft operating systems.
The suite is a compilation of FILERECOVERY
for Windows, FILERECOVERY Professional
and PHOTORECOVERY for Digital Media.
For the first time a total solution is
available for all Microsoft file systems,
allowing for fast, safe and reliable file
recovery with the ease-of-use of the
Windows environment.
Intelli-SMART is based on industry
standard SMART technology. A disk drive
can be monitored in time for errors that
indicate immanent failure. The software
can then notify the user of a problem via
e-mail, pop-up or by playing a sound.
LC Technology also has a hardware
product line. DRAC (Data Recovery and
Analysis Computer) was engineered to
make the investigation and recovery of
"digital artifacts" as fast and
straightforward as possible. The Drive
Imaging Stations are external solutions
featuring fast, read-only hot swap bay and
a read-write, hot swap, removable bay in a
stand-alone configuration.
The Read-Only IDE Drive Bays are
designed for the ultimate in Firewire
speed. Plus, the cards and adaptors will
allow users to employ any first or second
generation 1394 device in a system with
free PCI Slot.
A majority of LC clients are IT specialists,
consultants and technicians, law
enforcement personnel at all levels,
corrections officers, prosecutors and
corporate security specialists. However, LC
also supports the individual end-user with
