Travel in Style > Holiday Getaway By Claudia Paredes I love traveling, but that doesn’t mean it’s not stressful—especially traveling over the holidays. Airports have added security, check-in lines are extra-long, flights are often delayed and even cancelled, and in a matter of hours your long waited (and very much needed) holiday vacation turns into a nightmare. To keep you sane, conformable, organized and beautiful throughout your travels I have put together four essentials you should never leave the house without. I have always thought that what you wear is very important. You want a jacket that keeps you warm and mobile—to quickly sneak around large crowds and get to your gate on time. You want to always carry a portable speaker with you, so you can start the party wherever you end up. Additionally, you need to keep all your electronics organized. There is nothing worse than not being able to find the charger to your phone or tablet. And finally, after a long flight you want to feel refreshed. Treat your skin; just because you can’t carry a full sized bottle on a plane doesn’t mean you can’t bring the necessary essentials to revitalize your skin after your flight. Fuego Down Jacket by Cotopaxi The feeling of having a jacket in the airport that doesn’t let you be mobile is the worse. Think of how many times you need to take your jacket off, and then put it on again. Plus, what if you decide to carry it around? It’s not fun lugging around a heavy coat. The Fuego Down has climbed to the number one spot when it comes to travel jackets. Not only is it trendy, but for jacket that is made with 800-fill goose down and is considered a puffy, this jacket is super lightweight. You can easily package it inside its own hood! That is how small it gets. Plus, it’s very versatile. You only need to take the Fuego on your next adventure, it will adapt to any season. It has breathable underarm panels that allow you to wear it almost all year round—from fall to spring, and even into the summer. The Fuego is wind and water resistant, and comes with a scuba hood that fits snug around the head— preventing rain or snow from reaching your eyes and keeping your head warm at all times. To make this jacket better insulated, Cotopaxi has added elastic cuffs and a tight waistband. You won’t want to take the Fuego off, or for that matter need to. Aside from keeping you warm when you need it, and well ventilated when you’re on-the-go, this jacket, like all Cotopaxi products, is colorful and fun—and ready to take-off when you are. Cotopaxi has once again managed to make a modern jacket with a vintage color palette that is suitable for both men and women.
