maintains a passive connection that is only activated 4 times a day to make the smallest adjustments to the current time, whenever you manually request an update, or when you use the Find My Phone function.  So if you are jumping to multiple time zones, a simple button press will update your primary display to match the time zone of your phone. It takes some getting used to what seems like a magical display.  The second hand is used to indicate Bluetooth connections when in use, pointing to icons along the rim of the face.  The hour, minute, and day of the week hands will spin wildly when you update your time zone, making the watch seem to have a mind of its own, which it kind of does.  If all this sounds complicated, the smartphone app easily explains all the buttons and functions (who knew how useful that alone would be!). The whole watch functions under solar energy, and its self-adjusting features means that it will go into a sleep mode when in the dark for too long.  Pull it into the light and those watch hands will spin to catch up with the current time. Without the need for extraneous global labels to communicate the time in other parts of the world, the Edifice has a rather simple and clean face.  The aforementioned globe matches several other blue accents around the watch to catch your eye and seems a bit more elegant than some other ‘global’ watches.  In addition to the globe, the hour markers and 3D bezels give the Edifice a real sense of depth, like you are gazing down into the watch. Without a doubt, the Edifice is a great watch to take on your next trip across time zones.  It’s handsome metal design isn’t too fancy for a tourist, or too casual for a suit.  With 100 meters of water resistance, you don’t have to take it off if you don’t want to, and you’ll always have the most accurate time on your wrist, at home or abroad.  Whether you jump time zones once a week or once a year, the Edifice is one of the most accurate and good looking timepieces you can find.
