variety. Character Animator (still in beta) received a moderate performance boost, while 3D rendering in After Effects is now up to twenty times faster than previous versions. If you’re producing for virtual reality, Premiere Pro is now able to automatically detect and the proper settings for working with specific kinds of VR files. On the surface, it doesn’t seem like Photoshop changed a lot, but as artists can attest, the small transformations can be the most impressive. Support for scaled vector graphics (SVG) has blossomed in this new release. With SVG type, you can, for instance, create and scale multi-colored gradients in OpenType SVG fonts. The familiar Glyphs panel has been expanded to let you access emoji in these font families, as well. Even graphics professionals sometimes find themselves needing to learn something new each time they embark on a Photoshop project. This often involves extended sessions with Google. Photoshop CC 2017 now features a built-in search engine offering some very smart assistance. When you enter a search term, you can view all the results or filter for three primary areas of assistance. “Photoshop” will give you specific assistance on a command or function. “Learn” connects you to Adobe tutorials relating to your search. These are almost always the best in the business. “Stock” is the filter that directs you to the Adobe Stock graphics and video library.
