ever since. It’s a good thing that the moment-to-moment gameplay is so compelling, because the one area where I’ve struggled to get hooked is the metagame, achievements, and medal system. Either I don’t understand it or it’s not working as intended. There isn’t always a next step, new achievement, tracked metric, or reward that I’m chasing, but it’s enough that I’m having fun every single time I load into a new match. Pick up Battlefield 1 for the tried and true multiplayer, and stick around to be surprised by its compelling, at times even empathetic single player campaign.
