Rotoscoping is used to isolate actors or objects by drawing and animating shapes on difficult shots or where keying can’t be used. The flexible Bezier and B-spline drawing tools found in Fusion can use edge detection for precisely outlining a subject! You can animate individual points on the spline shape or use the transform box to quickly scale, twist and taper groups of points. You also get the unique onion skin display to help you see how masks animate over time making it even easier to modify them!
