FarCry 4
This Blockbuster sequel to the much loved FarCry series,
Farcy 4 hits all the marks of the previous games and adds a
layer of depth and excitement rarely found in other titles.
FarCry games have always had the feel of a 90's action film.
Each had plenty of jungle busting combat and adventure
with a slight tongue-in-cheek attitude that wouldn't shy
away from a little humor. FarCry 4 is no different. Taking
place in the fictional Himalayan country of Kyrat, with a
fully realized atmosphere, mountainous terrain and plenty
of dangerous wildlife. You play as Ajay Ghale, an oddly
anglicized American born Kyrati that gets swept up in a
boiling revolution. That storyline brings you face to face with
plenty of Hollywood-esque villains that would make Chuck
Norris's blood boil. But
the story is just one small
part of this huge game.
If wanted you can spend
the majority of your time,
exploring the mountains,
seeking out side missions,
avoiding deadly predators,
and even hunt elusive
yeti's. FarCry 4's FPS game-
play is satisfying, allowing
for just enough difficulty
without making
every mission a grind. While the single player mode is the
big attraction to this game, online multiplayer modes should
not be overlooked. Competitors play as two factions, one
with an aggressive gun toting play style, the other with a
more tactical and mystical approach. Huge environments
in multiplayer let you do plenty of sneaking around without
making every match devolve into a snipe fest. The scale of
FarCry 4 is immense, if you are playing on a PC you better
be sure you have enough room on your drive for all of its
30gigs. You should also be equipped with a good graphics
card as this game can be very graphic intensive. With that in
mind you will be rewarded with one of the best looking, and
most fun to play games in the last few years.
