MacDirectory 11 Contributors Marco Perez-Moreno is a freelance writer living in Santiago, Chile. He graduated from Harvard College with an A.B. in Sociology. As an undergraduate, he conducted research in Mexico and New York City for his senior thesis that studied the educational attainment of first generation migrants. For his thesis, he won the Joan Morthland Hutchins Thesis Prize for best undergraduate thesis concerning Latinos in the United States. After graduating, Marco worked for Harvard Public Affairs and Communications, coordinating the communications pertaining to Harvard's educational initiatives in the city of Boston. From there, he moved to Chile to work for Harvard University's David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies. As Communications and Student Programs Coordinator, Marco currently designs and executes communications strategies pertaining to the Center's involvement in South America, and coordinates international academic programs, sponsored by Harvard and prestigious universities in Argentina, Chile and Peru. Heather Caspi is a freelance journalist with passions for health, safety, science, and technology. She previously spent 14 years as a public safety writer/editor, covering topics in emergency medical services, mobile integrated healthcare, disaster response, the fire service, and law enforcement. She first wrote for MacDirectory 10 years ago and is excited to be back. Heather graduated from the University of Maryland with degrees in journalism and English, and has spent her years since living in Oakland, California and now Boulder, Colorado. She has been known to write extremely bizarre poetry for entertainment, and to stage ridiculous photo shoots of her two small children. Vishakha Sonawane is a freelance writer based in Bangalore, India. She has worked with mainstream newspapers of the country and major portion of her work in journalism has been in reporting covering social, crime and political stories. A graduate in Political Science and post-grad course in journalism, Vishakha has strong passion for writing and feels connected with her readers through her work. She enjoyed interviewing well-known Indian politicians and artists such as author Ruskin Bond. She has a curious nose for out of the box things. Her interest lies in understanding various cultures and traditions of the world. A native of Mumbai city, Vishakha also has a thing for travelling and is inquisitive to explore more about the world. Vishakha hopes to become a travel journalist and wants people to see places through her eyes. Lisa Hill, Lisa is a children's writer who's interests vary from sailing, teaching astronomy, learning code, skiing, hiking and writing. She's written various children's nonfiction books, plus published articles and science content for SAIL, Boys' Life, MacDirectory, NOAA, and Science Weekly. Native to the Northwest, Lisa enjoys sharing her sailing and hiking haunts with friends and family. Go Navy! CONTENTS
