38 MacDirectory coLuMn GEORGE CLOONEY THRILLS FANS BY MAKING SURPRISE ENTRY AT COMIC CON George Clooney made a surprise appearance at Comic Con in New York recently leaving fans excited. The 53-year-old newly married made an entry during a panel discussion for the forthcoming Disney fantasy film, 'Tomorrowland,' in which fans will see him as a hermit inventor. Prior to his arrival Disney showed the fans a two-minute trailer of the film. "We've been waiting on this for a year and a half and that's it," Clooney told director Brad Bird, according to the Associated Press. "I'm barely in the teaser," he joked. Following this he treated the audience with an exclusive teaser from the movie that showed him and Britt Robertson in an action sequence. Clooney recently many women's hearts by marrying human rights lawyer Amal Alamuddin in Venice, Italy. Directed by Brad Bird, the initial release date for 'Tomorrowland' scheduled May 22, 2015. Other cast include Britt Robertson, Hugh Laurie, Kathryn Hahn, Tim McGraw, Keegan-Michael Key, Judy Greer and Gary Chalk. AMANDA BYNES' WOES CONTINUE Troubled actress Amanda Bynes recently declared to the Twitteratti that her father sexually abused. However, shortly after she retracted the claim saying the "microchip" in her brain forced her lie. Bynes, 28, who was diagnosed as schizophrenic last year, alleged that her father Rick called her "ugly" during her childhood and asked if she wanted to sleep with him. "…I did not know how to respond and I said no and then. I was forced to live with my dad which was a total nightmare," she tweeted. However, in her another disturbing tweet Bynes recanted the allegations she made against her father. "My dad never did any of those things. The microchip in my brain made me say those things but he's the one that ordered them to microchip me," she tweeted. Lynne Bynes, Amanda's mother rubbished the allegations saying that Rick has been the "best father" a family can ask for. She said that the accusation were result of Amanda's mental state and had no basis in reality. QUEEN ELIZABETH II MAKES ANGELINA JOLIE HONORARY DAME Hollywood star Angelina Jolie has been named honorary dame by Queen Elizabeth II of England recently at Buckingham Palace. The 39-year-old 'A Mighty Heart' star was presented with the Insignia of an Honorary Dame Grand Cross of the most Distinguished Order of St Michael and St George for her campaign against rape in war zones and her services to Britain's foreign policies. The title is the female equivalent of an honorary knighthood. The ceremony was witnessed by her 50-year-old husband Brad Pitt and her six children.
