Buckle Up! It may sound like something trivial to rave about, but WaterField really outdid themselves in their choice of buckles for the Agile. This correspondent, normally well-versed in these kinds of things, had to go back to the carton to find the instruction card on how to undo the FIDLOCK clasps. The magnets on these are so strong, they must be slid in the right direction to uncouple. As long as the bag is with you, consider its contents secure. Magically as much as magnetically, they reattach themselves when the flap is closed. The straps can be made long enough so you can tote a rolled-up light jacket or sweater under the flap. By nature, briefcases are carried by hand. The handles on the Agile Brief care wrapped in thick leather for enduring comfort. But for those who want the convenience of a shoulder strap, Waterfield includes one of the best we know, their Supreme Suspension Strap. Like all of WaterField products, it can boast of an innovative design as well as reserved elegance and durability. The section that goes over your shoulder is 4mm-thick textured neoprene that offers just enough stretch to provide some welcome shock absorption and is backed by a non-slip rubber pad to keep the bag in place, even as your shoulders droop on the way home after a long day at a workplace. The spring-loaded clips, as well as the loops on the briefcase they snap onto are no-nonsense metal. They will hold up at least as long as this durable case. The strap is available by itself starting at $44 and is a perfect accessory for anything weighty (camera bags, etc.) that go over your shoulder. The Agile Brief comes is available in three styles, Black Ballistic Nylon and Chocolate Leather, Black Nylon and Black Leather, and our perennial favorite, Waxed Canvas and Chocolate Leather. All options are $349. So whatever your feelings about returning to the office are, the Agile Brief will let you make your headquarter homecoming in style and comfort. And it will give you one more thing to look forward to as the hours slowly tick away until your commute home. For more information, visit: sfbags.com
