Real pigment color mixing can be switched on and off in the Layers panel. Specific pigments with their traditional names (Ultramarine, Pyrolle Red, Cadmium Yellow, etc.) are offered in multiple color sets: Oil Pigments, Mini Oil Pigments, and Watercolor Pigments. The Color Set panel saves the history of selected colors, therefore, there won’t be a problem coming back to those previously used. If you are not used to working with real color pigments, you can turn it off and all color sets in Rebelle will behave as expected from other painting software. The output of real pigments is in RGB and therefore, it can be combined with all common RGB color palettes. To better work with colors, Rebelle 5 introduces a mixing palette to its list of features. The mixing palette is similar to the real palette although, it also comes with several perks typical for digital media. The paint on the palette can be better controlled and the color can be picked more precisely thanks to the option to zoom in. The mixing palette can have variable background colors. We can see the microscopic details of the paper, canvas, or stone. This creates an extremely realistic impression. If you open a previously created painting or an ordinary photograph in Rebelle 5, you can add the paper with micro-texture and enlarge the painting from size A4 to A0, preserving the beautiful details for print. Water and watercolors both respect these textures and create breathtaking, realistic painting nuances. The realism of details is supported by a variety of surfaces, which are available also in full color. Users can see microscopic paper details, parts of wood, tiny fragments, or colorful fibers. It is possible to play with its settings, achieving a range of textures, from uniform colors to dramatic and colorful surfaces. New full-color papers and canvases are available directly at Escape Motions website. The well-known Rebelle watercolors are on a great path towards hyper-realistic detail. In the new version, while drying the pigments, the granulation is revealed. The intensity of granulation can be changed, from very light to expressive or none granulation at all. It is fascinating that the diffusion
