Why did you want to make this investment? While we were running Renderosity, we had a great relationship with Poser and its various owners, including Smith Micro. We always felt there was a strong connection between Renderosity and Poser. Like many Renderosity members, we always had ideas about what we would do differently with the software if we had the opportunity. This has sparked our interest in acquiring Poser over the years, but the stars did not align until recently. I have been moved by the passion some members of our Renderosity team have for acquiring and improving this software they have loved for years. What are the long-term goals for Poser? Like any self-respecting software company, we want to delight our customers by providing frequently requested features where possible. We also want to drive adoption of the latest version of Poser with good communication and aggressive pricing. We want to align product features with the Renderosity marketplace so they support each other. With all of this in mind, we realize that we cannot meet all customer requests, but we certainly want to hear and understand them. Is there anything else you'd like to talk about? For the Poser fans who love the product: Relax, take a deep breath, Poser is in good hands and our goal will be to deliver quality improvements that meet customer needs over the long term. We have launched brand new male and female figures (La Femme and L'Homme) designed specifically for the newer features of Poser 11 and Poser 12. Sometimes there is low hanging fruit in the form of desired features that we can easily supply. In other cases, there are features that take a while, require investment, and mean a major version jump in the software with a corresponding upgrade cycle. But the process will be steady, incremental and sustainable. Try Poser 12 free for 21 days at www.posersoftware.com!
