If you watched their video, you’ve already learned that virtually all the unique aspects of the Resolve editing interface lean heavily towards convenience. Interface elements that you use most often are large and easy to get your cursor on. I frequently found myself asking, “why didn’t anybody else think of that before?” To move a clip from the preview area to the timeline, just drag it to the program monitor region and a ghost-menu slides in from the right. Keep dragging onto the option that will insert it as you want (insert, overlay, ripple, etc.).
