What does a typical day look like for you? Working as a freelance artist is like having a bunch of jobs tied into one. Some of the things I do in a day is answer emails, market myself, create content for social media, write contracts, and work on client-based projects.. to name a few. It’s tough to juggle all of those things, but it is extremely rewarding to do what I love every day! How does Painter help you in the development and creation of your artwork? Painter was the first program I learned how to create digital art on back in 2013. I loved the painterly feel I could create with the brushes. What’s your favourite Painter tool and feature? Why? My favorite brushes are the Pastel and Charcoal brushes, particularly the Dull Conte brush. The texture always adds another level of dimension to my work. Do you use Painter and any other software together? If so what do you like about that process? Yes! I always use painter for creating the work and once I am done I transfer the piece to Photoshop for final adjustments like lighting, color tweaks, and formatting for print.
