they animate in real time. This can get a bit trick y with letters, so there is a smart Wave parameter that senses repeated pat terns and tapers them to look more like brush calligraphy. If you're looking for something just a bit retro, there is the new Concentric Shape Repeater, which copies a closed path and offsets it over time, giving shapes and text something of a disco ballroom look. The big news from this release of Adobe Character Animator is the ability to add animated puppets to multiple layers of a timeline. They can be triggered manually or by background music or sound effects. There are separate trigger sets for each layer. If you want to tr y it out, Adobe added some background scenes in its Library for you to tr y out. If you have some downtime now, Character Animator is a great skill to pick up. And if you are already an experienced user, you've probably already figured out how to use the free app CamTwist to Zoom-bomb those tiresome online meetings with your creations. Not to be left out of the mix, Adobe Rush added some new tricks that Apple mobile users will love. It supports camera switching for the new iPhone and iPads, and can access Files as a gateway to all your cloud and local storage. It also lets you produce in a social-media-friendly 4:3 aspect ratio. Spring is a whole lot different this year. But at least there is still the robin's song and some fun new gadgets from Adobe to help you make it through.
