A kickstand on the back of the Speak 710 allows it to lay flay for group calls or be propped up for a more direct orientation when alone in the office. It also includes built-in cable management, and a spot for the Bluetooth adapter when it's not in use. All these 'accessories' are attached and tucked away on the base of the speaker, which fits nicely into a rubberized case for easy travel and is really self-sufficient. The Speak 710 can be operated totally wirelessly, via Bluetooth connection (either via the adapter or standard Bluetooth pairing) and the massive 15 - hour batter y life. That might not sound like a lot for a pair of headphones, but for a small, powerful two-way speakerphone like the Speak 710, it's impressive. For a more permanent setup like a home of f ice, unwind the built-in USB cord, and you'll never have to worry about batter y life. Regardless of how you connect, the Speak 710 includes a range of buttons and indicators around the rim to control the conference call without having to reference your phone or computer. Subtle volume indicators encircle the speaker, with buttons to answer, hang up, mute, control the volume, and even link with another Jabra Speak 710 speaker. You'll also be able to see battery and Bluetooth status at a glance. These thoughtful features are my favorite parts about the Speak 710, but it also sounds great, especially for a personal speakerphone. The 10-watt speaker pumps out crystal clear speaking audio, making your coworkers sound like they are next to you (remember, you can always turn down the volume). And the microphone is a significant improvement over any laptop mic that I have heard. Your coworkers and clients will absolutely hear a difference, even if they don't know why! After months of plugging in your wired headphones with an in-line mic or relying on your computers built-in microphone and speakers (shame on you), it's time to treat yourself and your colleagues to a human audio experience. The Speak 710 lets you do this with a saucer-sized puck that's easily transportable, self-contained, and totally wireless when you need it. Set one up in your of f ice today and take it with you when we're ready to venture out into the world again.
