covers all the bases that you’d expect in a desk chair, and then some. Full 360 swivel, a gas piston for height adjustments, full recline, tiltable base, etc. But even those ‘basic’ features are taken to the next level on the Premium. For instance, the recline action feels amazing, and supports a full 180-degree angle, meaning you can lay flat in the chair—to be honest, it seems like it goes back further than 180-degrees. It’s great for late nights at the office or kicking back to watch YouTube. And while lying flat on a desk chair may look or sound precarious, it feels sturdy and safe thanks to the solid construction. The whole chair also tilts back and forth when rocked, but can also be locked into place using the AKRacing Rock It and Lock It feature. Find the right angle for your seat, flip down your left-hand lever, and it stays like that, with the rest of your seat adjustments intact. I found this helpful as I like a little bit of upward tilt to my chair, which combines with the bucket seat features to really cradle your body. Even the armrests are super dynamic. After a few days with the chair, I discovered additional buttons that allow the armrests to move forward and back as well. Not feeling the armrests? The AKRacing armrests are entirely removable for a minimalist look. And it wouldn’t be an AKRacing chair without the signature lumbar and neck pillows. Included with every Premium chair (and all AKRacing chairs) is an adjustable lumbar pillow and neck pillow. What looks like a fancy contraption actually attaches to the chair with deft simplicity, and the lumbar pillow, in particular, is a game changer for proper back support. The neck pillow means that you spend more time with your back and head fully supported by the chair, as opposed to leaning forward or supporting your head alone. Combined with the solid recline mechanism, the lumbar pillow and extended head support mean that I adjust my Premium frequently throughout the day depending on what task I’m tackling. I’ll easily move to a very upright position with my head back to buckle down on some writing; when I throw on a YouTube video, it’s easy to recline way back and relax; and if I’m just browsing the internet, I’m probably somewhere in between. It’s so easy to adjust, that it invites the perfect position at all times. At the end of the day, this means that my body is less sore and I am able to
