The Everyday Backpack from Peak Design has so many features it's hard to capture them all on a single page! Designed with an insane attention to detail, and inspired by photographers, the many pockets, straps, and customizations on the Everyday Backpack will benefit anyone as a daily carry. Both a top-loading and side-loading bag, the Everyday Backpack provides easy access to all your belongings. The top flap closes with Peak Design's patented MagLatch—a piece of hardware that seems too simple to be effective until you try to rip open the bag in a manner that isn't intended. It's combination of mechanical and magnetic security keeps it closed when it needs to be and open on command. This top flap doesn't zipper close, but it's design is naturally weatherproof while also expanding to accommodate 8L of storage space. Dual weatherproof zippers adorn each side of the bag and run from end-to-end, allowing for lay flat access to the main compartment, or easy grab access to the top or bottom portion as needed. The interior of these side access flaps have an additional zippered pocket with all sorts of places to stash your smaller gear like cords, memory cards, hard drives, pens, etc. The exterior of each side is home to a lay-flat side pocket that expands substantially thanks to the strong elastic components—perfect for stashing a water bottle, a tripod, umbrella, or a small Bluetooth speaker. The Everyday Backpack's external carry consideration is second to none. It's usually an oversight on backpacks, and its thoughtful inclusion in the Everyday Backpack is appreciated. Straps and anchor points are spread throughout the bag, providing ample opportunities to tie on a sleeping bag, tripod, drone, or anything else you can think of. Four straps are hidden within the bag, one each in the side pockets and two in a hidden pocket on the front of the bag. These straps are all easily adjustable compression straps, and attach (or loop through) any of the ten anchor points on the bag. Inside the bag, the three origami-esque FlexFold dividers steal the show. These foldable dividers can be setup in tons of different configurations based on your needs, and are a key aspect of the Everyday MacDirectory 57 REVIEW
