REVIEW
Backpack ethos—separate and protect.
Peak Design even has a 30-minute video with
all types of suggested configurations and
uses. These dividers should be easy to use,
as they bend and fold on command to make
room all types of gear.
Even without the FlexFold dividers in place,
the Everyday Backpack holds its shape
thanks to 18 padded foam panels that help
protect your gear. This design gives the
backpack a firm feel that might take some
getting used to, but the payoff is protection
for your most valued items. Indeed, new,
interesting textures are ever-present in the
Everyday Backpack, usually for good reason.
Embossed felt and herringbone stitched twill
cover the interior pockets, with a unique
weatherproof nylon canvas shell on the
exterior, and "hypalon-reinforced and bar-
tacked stress points."
Other features include a gusseted laptop
compartment (that doesn't take up empty
space if it's not being used), a quick stash
top pocket, a one-handed sternum strap,
a very cool key-tether, looped straps and
buckles for super easy adjustability, roller
luggage pass-through, pivoted shoulder
straps for maximized comfort and front
access, both top and side handles, and a
concealed waist belt that I didn't even notice
until several days into wearing the bag.
There is a lot to unpack here, and you'll be
finding hidden features and learning the best
way to use them well after your Everyday
Backpack is delivered.
The Everyday Backpack was clearly designed
with every possible consideration given to the
end user, as is reflected in its myriad features
and details. Additionally, Peak Design offers
a lifetime guarantee on everything, to make
sure this is a bag that you'll be wearing for
years to come. Whether you need a bag to
stash your camera equipment, or you're just
looking for more versatility in the bag you
throw over your shoulder every morning, the
Peak Design Everyday Backpack is sure to
be an upgrade.
