WONDERSHARE >TAKING WONDER WORLDWIDE WORDS BY JONE DEVLIN
There are plenty of software companies that advertise themselves as innovators with a worldwide presence; but Wondershare is one of the few that truly lives up to this description.
Started in 2003, and currently headquartered in Shenzen, China, Wondershare also has branch offices in the United States, Germany and Japan. The result of this global presence means that Wondershare is more than able to easily keep their finger on the pulse of what is hot in the software marketplace.
recently caught up with
Wondershare's Vera Chen, and she was very excited to update us on what the company has been doing since the last time we spoke with them.
Firstly, Wondershare has been named to Deloitte Technology's Fast 500 on the Asian Pacific list for a second time in 2010. Secondly, Wondershare had an exciting and much talked about exhibit at CES in 2010 and at CES and CeBIT in 2011.
Then there is the buzz about some of the new products that Wondershare has recently introduced. The first of these is an amazing bit of technology called Video Converter Ultimate, which allows users to easily edit videos, rip DVDs and convert videos for playback on all of their Apple equipment, including iPhone, iPad and iPod.
If you're like me and you have some old videos lying around that you're just dying to share with your friends on Facebook – or better yet, if you have some of your friend's old videos that you're just dying to embarrass them with on You Tube – this is a tool you cannot live without. And yes, it can also be used for serious purposes, like sharing video of your parents wedding.
The DVD Slideshow Builder Deluxe, meanwhile, combines digital pictures and video clips so that users can create
amazing slideshows complete with music, 2D and 3D transitions. This tool is invaluable asset for everything from business meetings to parties and family gatherings and really lets your creative energy shine.
Wondershare's PDF converter, meanwhile, converts PDFs to fully editable word, Excel PowerPoint, text and EPUB artifacts seamlessly; while their Data Recovery tool
allows users to scan whole devices or even folders to recover documents, photos, music or almost anything else that may have accidentally been deleted.
Best of all, the majority of Wondershare's products can be used on both Apple and
Windows; however there are some special extras for Apple customers.
One of these special extras is the iCamera, which lets users edit their pictures in all kinds of new and different ways. iCamera also includes the ability to add backgrounds, Google your locations to viewers, and kick in all kinds of cool special effects to your collection.
There is also the iCard app, which does everything that iCamera does, but adds the ability for users to make postcards out of their creations. Music Dreamer, meanwhile, enables users to set their music library up on a timer, allowing them to soothe themselves to sleep at night or just program a collection for a set period.
As is typical with Wondershare's products, the response continues to be overwhelmingly positive, with users raving about the professional capabilities of the offerings while at the same time marveling at the ease of use and the way they are able to seamlessly transition through download and set up.
Most recently, Wondershare has begun looking for companies and individuals
that are willing to become resellers or OEMs for their products. To find out more about this opportunity, contact them via their website
