Nektar Impact LX Mini Hits the Sweet Spot

With the latest Apple Silicon, even a MacBook Air has the power of a high-end desktop DAW from not very long ago. That was apparently the cue for Nektar to introduce its latest compact portable MIDI keyboard, the Impact LX Mini, a device that has both take-it-with-you size and pro-level power for the composer on the go (or at home without a whole lot of space). We put it through its paces with our DAW of choice, Apple’s Logic Pro X, but right out of the box, it will map its controls to just about any popular DAW app.
