New Apple Watch Update Fixes Frustrating Charging Problem By Sergio Velazquez Just last Friday, Apple seeded the watchOS 8.4 release candidate (RC), which is basically a sneak peek of what the full public software update will look like – and it seems that Apple will mainly focus on fixing a bug that prevented the Apple Watch Series 7 from charging. Many Apple Watch Series 7 users reported in December of 2021 that their Apple Watch wasn’t charging with third-party chargers. Others reported that the chargers started working and stopped charging after a few minutes of use. It was first believed that this bug only affected low-quality chargers, but other high-quality products were affected as well. Some Series 7 users even reported that they had problems charging their watch with Apple’s own charging pucks. Now, it seems Apple will finally address that issue in the next watchOS software update. As of right now, we don’t know what else the upcoming software update will bring, but it seems that it’s going to be minor. We’re also unsure as to when Apple will release watchOS 8.4 to the public, but if developers have already got the release candidate, it’s possible that Apple will roll out the update in the next few days. Not only that, but it’s possible that Apple will also release iOS 15.3 and iPadOS 15.3 alongside watchOS 8.4. With that said, we’ll still have to wait a little more time for Apple to confirm when we’ll see the next update.
