I may not be the in-the-tent camper I once was, but I still spend plenty of time riding trains from airports, hopping hostels (or hotels) for a night or two, jumping into Ubers, and maxing out my carry-on luggage to avoid bag checks and extra fees. Traditional luggage leaves something to be desired in a lot of these scenarios, so I can’t wait to get back out on the road with the Allpa on my back and freedom at my fingertips. Baja Pant Lest you think Cotopaxi was complacent to sit back and ride the success of their coats and bags, they have recently introduced the Baja Pant. These are like the male version of yoga pants—all the comfort and flexibility, with none of the tightness. The Baja Pant is made to be worn during any activity, but is also damn comfortable lounging around your house or sitting on the plane. For me, they offer the comfort of sweatpants, but the dignity of normal clothes if I want to leave my house. Perfect! The 90/10 nylon/spandex blend creates a fairly unique texture that will have you reaching out to touch them just to see how they feel. On the inside, a twill backing makes these surprisingly smooth on the skin. The hand pockets are equally comfortable, though shallow enough that you might want to stash your phone elsewhere. A concealed zippered thigh pocket is great for keeping your keys safe, and the rear pocket also zips for security. To round out the Baja Pant, a neon orange waistband conceals a bright teal drawcord for some classic Cotopaxi color splash, and the ankles are slightly tapered—not in an elastic kind of way, but in a stylish, hemmed kind of way. Cotopaxi products tend to have athletic fits that can be pretty snug on my, but whereas a lot of medium Cotopaxi products would be tight fitting (like the Fuego Down Jacket), I found the Baja Pant to be really comfortable in a medium. Try these out with confidence, as Cotopaxi’s foray into the southern hemisphere of clothing is quality and comfy. Whatever adventure life throws at you, Cotopaxi has the gear to help you get it done. Check out the Fuego Down Jacket for men or women, the Allpa line of travel bags, or the new Baja pants and you’ll be well on your way to escaping the 2020 quarantine.
