event was hosted virtually, drawing the attention of 400+ Final Cut Pro enthusiasts all over the world including Australia, the Netherlands, United Kingdom, Canada and the United States. Attendees were excited for the opportunity to participate in the virtual training event. “Thanks for helping make all this happen,” said Lucas, an FCP Summit attendee. “Living in Australia, the summit has been a bit inaccessible to me in past years, and this has been an incredible experience to be part of.” The Final Cut Pro Summit offered a variety of technical training sessions covering topics such as best practices for shooting in HDR RAW, color correction techniques, animation, and audio mixing. Due to the rise of remote workflows, many sessions also focused on remote work solutions. Attendees were able to engage directly with companies that are to provide remote solutions and view instructional demos in action. Remote solutions included a thorough exploration of the Hedge’s Postlab and Drive applications hosted by Postlab’s instructors, Isaac Terronez & Paul Matthijs Lombert. We learned how we could collaborate as a team within Postlab, track any editing changes made to video files in a shareable Postlab cloud which syncs to any changes made locally. We also learned more about remote media management, which completely eliminates the need to physically ship harddrives! With the continuation of travel restrictions throughout the nation and working-from-home options becoming a new normal, it was a great opportunity to learn more about such remote solutions and have our questions answered directly from the experts. High profile content creators and filmmakers led the panel discussions at the Final Cut Pro Summit. We were excited to attend talks with the mastermind behind Tech Talks America, David Cox, renown documentary filmmaker, Kim Furst, and The Fitness Marshall aka Caleb Marshall.
