Home is a personal cloud storage that lives in your house. I have personally been the victim of laptops and phones claiming the lives of all my photos and files—and even though I told myself I would back up, I never got around to it. That is where My Cloud Home by WD comes in. The My Cloud comes in capacities ranging from 2T to 8T—so you can really find the size that’s right for you. In case you are flinching as the idea of personal cloud storage, having tried to hook up an external drive to your router in the past, rest assured that the installation process for the My Cloud is very simple. If you can download and app and follow simple steps, you should be in the clear. After you have plugged the My Cloud to the router, then you’ll need to wait for a solid light, after that simply download the app on your phone or use your laptop to complete the installation. Simple! And not scary at all. You’ll have to download some simple software and create an account before your laptop or phone begins to sync with the My Cloud. Once you have the software, the back-up can begin automatically, and you can choose to back-up using cellular data or not—if what you are backing up is your phone. The My Cloud Home allows for everything to be saved in one place. You can create folders to keep your files organized, but it shouldn’t too difficult to find the files as they can be searched by date and time. While the My Cloud will live in your house, it will allow you to access your files anywhere you have an internet connection. And if you have nosey family member like me, it’s very easy to share files with them. Simply share the desired folder and they will even be able to collaborate! If you already use other cloud storage solutions like Dropbox, Google, and even Facebook, the My Cloud will sync with them, and make sure files are always up to date. The best part of it, is that you won’t have a monthly fee to worry about! My Passport SSD by WD This portable drive is ready when you are. The My Passport SSD transfers files faster than ever. So, you spend less time uploading and downloading data, and more time creating content that matters to you. This sleek model fits in the palm of your hand, it’s light weight, and it’s available in five fun colors. But don’t let its size fool you, this drive can store up to 2T! Plenty of space for photos and videos. While it has a sleek design, it also has a rugged side, and it’s drop resistant. This is very important, because accidents can (and do) happen, and if you’re counting on this drive to store your most valuable files, you want to make sure it won’t crack under pressure. To add extra layer of protection to your files, WD has added a password enabled hardware encryption, which allows you to lock your drive. To unlock, simply use the drive’s password and be on your way. The My Passport SSD is the kind of drive you’ll want to keep handy in your backpack, purse, or pocket—you’ll never know when you’ll need to use it. IXAND Wireless Charger by SanDisk Now you can charge your phone wirelessly while also backing-up your photos and videos. If you don’t have cloud storage or an external drive, this might be the solution for you. The IXPAND makes it very easy. Simply place your QI compatible device on the wireless pad to charge and let the IXPAND do the rest. Every night before I go to sleep, I charge my phone, and there is no better feeling than waking up to a phone that is fully charged and 100% backed-up. The
