Standard Issue 8x25 Waterproof Binoculars by Nocs These ain’t your grandpa’s binoculars. Nocs has created a pair of optical aids to take on your everyday walks, hikes, and adventures. Designed with portability and durability in mind, the Standard Issue 8x25 Waterproof Binoculars remove the bulk and trepidation that can sometimes come with handling larger, more expensive pairs of binoculars. The focus on a product that can be stashed in the glove compartment, thrown into a travel bag, or easily worn around the neck is evident throughout the use of the Nocs. For instance, there are no eye covers or hard-shell cases—a little off-putting at first, but it also gives you the freedom to take these with you everywhere and whip them out at a moment’s notice. There is still a soft carry case provided, and the Nocs feel rugged enough to withstand a bumpy ride. The glass elements are sunk well into the casing, and the included microfiber cloth is handy for frequent cleanings. A thick rubber outer construction not only protects the optics, but also feels great in the hand. A heavily textured, geometric line design that reminds me of the Nazca Lines adorns the rubber, adding a nice visual element, but more importantly, superb grip. The Nocs are lightweight and designed to be held with one hand, so that extra grippy exterior is very welcome. Did I mention that they come in a collection of bright colors, and some more natural colors as well? I recommend the Sea Foam, Poppy, or Marigold variety to make sure you never lose them. For added durability, the binoculars are IPX7 certified for 30 minutes of submersion. They are also nitrogen injected and sealed to prevent internal fogging. No need to worry about sea mist splashing on your optics, or a light drizzle out on your hike. The Standard Issue Binoculars provide fixed 8x magnification, a versatile distance that works for bird watching and boating. It’s similar to looking through a 400mm camera lens. And while you can’t adjust the zoom, you can adjust the focus. An adjustable focus knob adorns the single center hinge, a design which you’ve probably encountered before. However, the Nocs binoculars also feature an adjustable diopter on the right eye. Use this additional knob to fine tune your focus and get each eye perfectly aligned. A subtle notch around the diopter even marks your focus point for you, so you’ll quickly know if you are dialed in correctly. The Nocs packaging is fully recyclable and made with 90% post-consumer cardboard, which speaks to Nocs commitment to sustainable design. The packaging itself also provides a ton of useful information that is especially helpful if this is your first pair of bino’s. Setup tips and links to an informative video are printed right on the box, as is a reminder that the Standard Issue 8x25 Waterproof Binoculars can be used with your smartphone for a super zoomed picture. Binoculars tend to be missed when you want them more than they are available for those once in a lifetime moments. With the rugged and lightweight Standard Issue 8x25 Waterproof Binoculars from Nocs, you can carry them with you wherever you may roam. For more information, visit: www.nocsprovisions.com
