Mammut has been around for over 150 years, and I wish I discovered them a long time ago. This Swiss design company creates highly technical products for extreme outdoor conditions, as well as a large line of more everyday items to match your adventurous lifestyle. So, while my hiking is amateur at best, I've been loving the Mammut items that I've been wearing this winter. The Chamuera Hooded Midlayer Jacket has a title indicative of its versatility. Is it a mid-layer? Yes. Is it a jacket? Yeah, it could work as a jacket. Is it an incredibly warm, incredibly smooth, and great looking hooded sweatshirt? Definitely. The Chamuera is a live-in-able garment that will find its way into anyone's wardrobe, regardless of your altitude or temperature. Mammut is humble about the interior lining of the Chamuera, but its all-cotton, brushed inner lining is super soft! You'll find yourself petting it for the sensation, and it somehow feels warm, even though it's an inert, breathable cotton fabric. The knitted fleece outer layer is also fairly unique, with a stylized pattern and texture that makes the Chamuera stand out amongst hoodies. I'm not even sure what is a pattern and what is a result of the knit. As with the lining, the outer layers texture feels great and looks even better.
