The Hardware Audeze www.audeze.com PAX East encompasses all facets of the video game lifestyle, from software, hardware, tabletop games, and merchandise. Audeze was at the convention showing of f their recent foray into gaming headphones, which have been quick to garner awards. All of Audeze's headphones are planar magnetic headphones, resulting in some amazing sound and light weight builds, and all of their research and design is in-house, making for a very user-centric experience. The Mobius gaming headphones only released in 2018, but they are probably some of the best gaming headphones around. At $399, they might seem pricey, but they are very affordable for planar magnetic acoustics and the feature set that is built into every pair. At a very basic level, the Mobius are very comfortable and sound amazing, regardless of what you're listening to. For gamers, however, there is even more. Audeze has included head tracking surround sound that takes into account the position of your head to create a surround sound experience that mimics what you'd get sit ting in your living room in front of an expensive 7 speaker system; turn your head to the left, and sounds happening in front of your gaming character shift to your right. It's the stuff of dreams for VR audio in particular, and the Mobius work with most VR plat forms out of the box.
